This position is initially voluntary and unpaid. Appointment does not, by itself, create an automatic entitlement to salary, honorarium, allowance or other personal financial compensation. Subject to available funds and approved financial policies, GASWT may reimburse reasonable and properly documented expenses incurred in the legitimate performance of official duties. As GASWT develops its financial capacity, the appropriate governing authority may establish a formal compensation framework.
Requirements
- Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Media Studies, Marketing, International Relations, Social Sciences or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant communications/media experience.
- Minimum 3 years of leadership or strategic communications experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing communications strategies.
- Experience managing organizational social media, websites, newsletters, campaigns or media relations.
- Experience leading or coordinating communications/media teams.
- Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills.
- Ability to translate research and complex social issues into accessible public communication.
- Knowledge of branding, digital communications and content strategy.
- Understanding of responsible AI in communications.
Preferred experience
- PhD/Doctorate is an advantage but not mandatory.
